Whites Ferry is on the Potomac River at Whites Ferry Rd, MD 107, at mile 35.5 on the canal. 

Drive across the bridge over the canal and park in the lot between the canal and the river.  (Short-term parking only.)

Whites Ferry has operated on the Potomac River over 100 years..  This is the last regular ferry operation on the Potomac, where once there were about 100. 

 
  In addition to the Potomac River ferry, Whites Ferry has a small boat ramp.  The Whites Ferry Store is open from May through October, and canoes and boats can be rented.
