Support Stations                                                                                                                    Back

The first support station for 100K hikers is at the footbridge to the Old Anglers Inn, mile 12.28.  This is a beverage only stop.

This is a popular spot for kayakers and canoeists to put into the Potomac.  However, traffic will be light at the early hour when most 100Kers pass by.

Seneca food stop is at Lock 24, mile 22.82, Rileys Lock at Seneca Aqueduct.

This is the breakfast stop.  Fruit, muffins, bagels, hot drinks, juice and water will be available.

Whites Ferry food stop is at mile 35.5 where Whites Ferry Road, MD 107, meets the Potomac.  The ferry operates 5am to 11pm.  Watch the traffic.

Whites Ferry is the lunch stop. Fruit, vegetables, sandwiches and various beverages will be available.  This is also the starting point for the 50K hike.

Monocacy at mile 42.2 is a beverage-only stop.

The newly restored Monocacy Aqueduct is one of the most beautiful man-made structures on the Canal.

Point of Rocks food stop, mile 48.2.

This is the "dinner" stop and features hot soup and other food and beverages.

It is located at the point where the towpath merges with a road used by boat owners to launch their boats under the Route 15 Bridge over the Potomac River.

Brunswick food stop, lock 30, mile 55.  After passing the train yard on the right you will see a gate ahead of you.  The food stop will be set up on the side of the path beyond the gate.

This is the final food stop on the towpath.  Snacks, soup and hot and cold beverages are available.

Dinner, rest and celebration are in order at the Bolivar Community Center, end of the One Day Hike.  A complete hot meal with a vegetarian option and a variety of beverages await hikers here.

The Center is reached after walking a mile through Harpers Ferry.  Family and friends can meet ODH hikers here.
